The Night fox is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. It is a cunning canidae dressed as French musketeer.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Night foxes are anthropomorphic fox fencers with bright blue fur who are nocturnal by nature. They wear doublets with yellow stripes with ruffs and long capes around their necks, rounded hose, tall boots, and cavalier hats with a long plume on their heads, giving them a foppish appearance. The foxes have some simple spellcasting ability, being able to cast Heal, and can use their fancy footwork to confuse their enemies. They are also capable of delivering thrusts with their rapiers at lightning speed.
