The Moosifer is a | The Moosifer is a monster in the series.
== | ==Characteristics==
Moosifers are satyr-like demons, having the upper bodies of muscular red-skinned men and both sturdy lower bodies and curved horns of goats. They have purple beards and pointed ears, along with bat-like wings on their backs. When they first appeared, the moosifers' human bodies had purple skin and would turn pale when they became frightened and close to death's door. Their pale appearance would go on to be used for the Abullddon's colour scheme in some spinoff games, while moosifers adopted their red-skinned appearance. Moosifers have a variety of different spells in their repertoire, particularly ice and explosive spells, and often have the ability to breathe out fire. They have a propensity for becoming enraged and making violent charging attacks.

Moosifer began appearing in Version 2.4 as a mid-boss, later appearing as a normal encounter in Version 3.0. They are able to Muster Strength and breath out blazing fire, as well as cast Kacrackle and Kaswooshle. When they become enraged, moosifers will act twice per turn and use their fire breath more frequently.

The Moosifer is a monster in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
Moosifer began appearing in Version 2.4 as a mid-boss, later appearing as a normal encounter in Version 3.0. They are able to Muster Strength and breath out blazing fire, as well as cast Kacrackle and Kaswooshle. When they become enraged, moosifers will act twice per turn and use their fire breath more frequently.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The name Moosifer is a portmanteau of the words "moose" and "Lucifer". Lucifer is the name of a fallen angel mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, and is erroneously used as another name for Satan in modern Christianity.
