The '''Minstrel''' (旅芸人, ''Tabigeinin'') is a vocation added to the series in ''[[Dragon Quest IX]]'', and the initial vocation of [[Hero (Dragon Quest IX)|its hero]]. It has limited healing and offensive spells on top of the ability to wield [[Fan]]s, [[Sword]]s, [[Whip]]s, and [[Shield]]s.
