Bang is a spell in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it pulverizes all targets with a forceful explosion. It is related to the stronger spells Boom, Kaboom, and Kaboomle, each subsequent spell increasing the intensity of the expulsion until the very earth beneath the foes is razed by the blast.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit | edit source]

Bang makes its debut appearance, dealing 16~24 damage to all enemies and costs 5 MP to cast. Mages and Sages have a 12 chance to learn it starting at level 11, based on their Wisdom.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit | edit source]

Mages and Sages can learn Bang at level 11 if their wisdom exceeds 51. It costs 5 MP and deals up to 18~27 damage to all enemies. As with all multi-targeting attack spells Bang's power is increased if it is used against a smaller number of foes, being 130% damage against a single monster, 120% against two monsters, and 110% damage when used on three monsters.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit | edit source]
