'''Beran''' (ベラヌール, Beranuuru) is a city in southeastern [[Torland]] in ''[[Dragon Quest II]]''. It is the only gateway for traveling to [[Plateau of Rhone|Rhone]].

==Geography==

Beran is located on a large island surrounded by mountains. You can access the city by taking the center Waygate in the [[List of shrines in Dragon Quest II|Fire Shrine]], or by docking your boat on the southwestern side of the island.

Beran holds the only travel gate which can be used to access Rhone. It connects to the [[Shrine South of Rhone]] which provides access to the [[Cave to Rhone]]; assuming the heroes possess the [[Evil Statue (Dragon Quest II)|Eye of Malroth]].
