The interesting thing about the meddle slime is that, when one first encounters one in the game, one is inclined to think that they have found a [[metal slime]], for it is virtually indistinguishable from the genuine article. However, the player, thinking they have a chance at racking up high experience points for killing one, should not get too excited. The meddle slime, it turns out, is an impostor metal slime, yielding only normal experience points upon its defeat. They are difficult to recruit, as they tend to flee as quickly as a real metal slime, and take offence easily when scouted. However, if one can be scouted, the reward is a good one. Perhaps it may be because of their likeness to metal slimes, but having a meddle slime on the team raises the chances of successfully recruiting an actual metal slime. This comes in extremely handy, since several metal slimes are required for synthesizing even better metal slime creatures, such as a [[liquid metal slime]], etc.

A Meddle slime is a type of Slime introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, found in both Treepidation and Doubtback.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The interesting thing about the Meddle slime is that, when one first encounters one in the game, one is inclined to think that they have found a Metal slime, for it is virtually indistinguishable from the genuine article. However, the player, thinking they have a chance at racking up high Exp for killing one, should not get too excited. The Meddle slime, it turns out, is an impostor Metal slime, yielding only normal Exp upon its defeat. The "yellow-bellies" are difficult to recruit, as they tend to flee as quickly as a real Metal slime, and take offence easily when scouted.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit | edit source]

Upon being scouted, a Meddle slime will turn into a real Metal slime.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional[edit | edit source]

Meddle slimes can no longer be scouted.

Notes[edit | edit source]

If the player wants to know whether they have got the "real thing" or not, they merely have to look at the creature's name in battle.
