The '''Dracky''' is a monster in the series.

Drackies are black bat monsters with large wings, a pair of antennae, and two round feet. They have a long and thin tail, round eyes, and a fanged mouth that always seems to be smiling. Drackies are typically one of the weakest enemies in the games they appear in, usually a step or two above ordinary slimes in terms of strength. They are speedy, however, and most games grant them a higher-than-average evasion rate. In games with day-night cycles, drackies tend to be nocturnal monsters just like bats. Depending on the game, drackies are either considered [[Bird family|birds]] or [[Demon family|demons]].

In addition to the ones that can be encountered, a Dracky, along with a [[Slime knight]] and [[Prestidigitator (Dragon Quest V)|Prestidigitator]] attacks [[Pankraz]] in the [[Ancient Ruins]].

'''Drackies''' appear as a special monsters in the DLC Tablet, Sticky Business, armed with their usual biting attacks. At the end of the dungeon, there's a giant version that has higher {{HP}} and that's able to dish out more damage.

Dracky appeared from the beginning of the game, often encountered at night in starting areas. They possess no special abilities and will flee when threatened. [[Monster wrangler|Monster wranglers]] are able to [[Monster recruitment|tame]] them starting with Version 2.3. In Version 3.1, it gained a [[Rarefied monster|rarefied]] version in the form of the [[Tundracky]]. Starting in Version 5.0, vicious drackies can be encountered in the [[Netherworld]], as well.

Drackies again reprise their role as being one of the weakest monsters fought out in the field. The first monsters the player has to fight are drackies, the group in particular harassing the caravan that would soon be under the control of [[Kiefer]].

The [[Slime]] takes a backseat as the player's first monster, the dracky being one of the choices alongside the [[Platypunk]] and [[Mischievous mole]]. They are rank F members of the [[Demon family]] and are essentially the weakest monster in that family, though they are fast and level up very quickly.

Dracky is a F-rank monster of the [[Demon family]]. It can be recruited from Chapter 2, Episode 1: Get moving! and it stars in its own Battle Road. It can also participate in the Battle Roads of [[Majellan]], [[Imp]], [[King kelp]], [[Maam]], and [[Great muddy hand]] as a party member, as well as the ''Dragon Quest I'' event battle road.
