The Overtoad is a monster in the series.
Overtoads are immense toad monarchs with warty red skin, purple feet and cheeks, and long green tongues. They can put opponents to sleep with their magic. When overtoads returned in Dragon Quest XI after a long absence, they also gained the ability to land desperate attacks, breathe out flame breath, and perform song that can lower the defence of their enemies.

| Description
|
Kings among toadfolk, they love to sing, but are more monotone than baritone. This makes for boring ballads that put people to sleep more often than not.
