Counting Sheep is a song in the Dragon Quest series. It has a chance of putting all enemies to sleep for no MP cost, making it similar to the Kasnooze spell.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest VII[edit | edit source]

RamSong is a hybrid ability learned by reaching rank 5 as a Shepherd or Bard immediately after completing the other. It can target all enemies in battle, giving it an advantage over the Lullaby and Zzz Shanty abilities. In the 3DS version, hybrid abilities no longer exist and Counting Sheep is learned normally by advancing to rank 5 of the Shepherd vocation.

Dragon Quest VIII[edit | edit source]

Counting Sheep is an enemy-only skill used by Satyrs and Silenus in battle. The player can use it by recruiting the Infamous Monster Faunus.

Dragon Quest X[edit | edit source]

Counting Sheep once again appears as an enemy-only skill that can be used by Satyr and Silenus. It has a 60% chance of putting nearby characters to sleep.
