==Characteristics==
The gryphon is a monster with the lower body of a lion that has the head and large wings of an [[Bird family|eagle]]. The eagle half of their body has red-orange plumage while the lion half of their body has dull brown fur. They have white fur around their necks, a third eye on their foreheads, and a long purple tongue sticking out of their golden beaks. They use their sharp claws to violently grab at their opponents. The monsters have extremely sensitive hearing and despise the incantations of spellcasters, leading to their frequent use of [[Fizzle]] to drown out the noise. Their Japanese name {{translation|サイレス|Sairesu}} is derived from the English word" silence", owing to its use of the Fizzle spell and sensitive ears.
