Erdwin's Shield once belonged to the hero of legend, the late Erdwin. It bears more than a passing resemblance to the Hero's Shield, even featuring a runic inscription that spells out the name "Roto" in English, being the Japanese equivalent of the Erdrick title. The meaning of this similarity is left up to the player's imagination. It is the best shield that the Luminary can equip, protecting against common elemental attack, gives the highest defensive buff offered by any equipable shield the Hero can use, and restores MP, allowing the Luminary to spam his most powerful offensive abilities at little to no MP cost.

- The shield appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a shield used by Eleven. It is used for the first part of his Forward Tilt attack and blocks projectiles the Hero is facing while standing still.
