==Characteristics==

Lumbering lizards are an immense [[Dragon family|dragon]]s with mossy green scales whose most distinguishing characteristic is the huge tree growing from their backs. They walk about on their hind legs and have a small pair of front claws, a large pair of wings on its back with frayed membrane, and it has a large amount of forest growth on its back, wings, tail, and a small amount on its chin. It has orange spines running down its neck from the top of its head that end before its tree, a large pair of horns on the side of its head, and smaller spikes closer to its jaw. Its eyes are red and it has a jagged triangular-shaped mouth. Lumbering lizards are wizened wyrms that have lived for so long that entire trees have sprouted from their scales, creating a symbiotic relationship wherein the plant nourishes the animal through photosynthesis, and the dragon's wanderings make spreading seeds much easier. In spite of its size, the lumbering lizard is known to be gentle and wise and is able to heal itself and others using leaves grown from the tree on its back.
