The Hexicon is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VII. It is a monster that disguises itself as a magical tome, often hiding itself in bookshelves to attack unsuspecting adventurers.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Hexicons are demon monsters resembling books with strong magical powers. These monsters have the appearance of violet books with their first pages and covers torn due to the age. In their covers a red eye can be found, and surrounding the eye there are black ritual marks. If one were to open these books, one would find a mouth with a pink tongue. The evil tomes are a force to be reckoned with in battle, opening combat by using their magic to put their foes to sleep then finishing them off with fiery or icy breath. They can also send their enemies to the hereafter with instant death magic and befuddle them with their attacks.
