The '''Jargon''' is a yellow, obese humanoid dragon with an immense appetite for alcohol.

First appearing in {{DQ8}}, it has gone on to appear as a mid-ranking member of the [[Dragon family]] in the {{Monsters S}} series.

Jargon appears as a boss in [[Mt. Krakatroda]], inside a building where initially lies the Krak Pot. Jargon tries to steal the Krak Pot for its own whimsical purposes and [[Rocket]] goes to stop him to retrieve the object to [[Boingburg]] in [[Slimenia]]. Jargon is immune to Elasto Blast, so the only way to defeat it is to make it damage itself with the objects he takes from the Krak Pot such as banana peels and [[Rockbomb|Rockbombs]], as well as throwing [[Chimaera Wing|Chimaera wings]] to the monster that it also takes out of said pot.

Jargon appears as a C-rank monster of the [[Dragon family]]. It can be recruited from Chapters 13-2, 13-6, 13-8, and 15-1 of the main storyline, as well as the Great Wing Plains level at any difficulty during the limited Dragon Fest event. It also appears as the story boss of Chapter 7, Episode 9: The Jarring Jargon. Jargon can participate in the [[Green dragon]], [[Gasbagon]], and [[Baran]]'s Battle Roads as a party member.
