Persecutter is a recurring Knife skill in the Dragon Quest series. It deals more damage to enemies afflicted with Confusion or Sleep.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit | edit source]
Persecutter was retroactively added to the 2024 remake learned at level 29 by Thieves if their wisdom exceeds 75 points. It deals 600% damage, using the Strike-element for the first time in the series, to enemies that are asleep or confused, and it costs 11 MP.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit | edit source]
Persecutter deals an extra 50% damage to enemies that are confused or asleep for 3 MP. Requires the 'Knifing Know-How' in a character's inventory to use 'Knifing Know-How', which is received as a reward for completing Quest #68: Spice Up Your Knife.
Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
Persecutter can be learned by Thieves, Minstrels, Dancers, Gadabouts, Demon Swordsmen, and Pirates by allocating 35 skill points into the Knives skill. It costs 3 MP to use and deals 400% damage to sleeping and confused monsters. All other targets will take 150% damage instead.
