Shogum is a grotto boss in Dragon Quest IX. He is a red and black recolour of a Slionheart
Etymology
Combination of "Shogun" and "gum"
Detail Description
Attributes Resistance
Shogum is a red slime, with a white beard, with a creature on his back.
Powers and Abilities
- Attack: A basic attack.
- Killer Combo: A powered up physical attack.
- Can attack twice in one turn, but not always, as with most bosses.
- Kaboom
- Disruptive Wave
- Call for backup: summons a King Cureslime (but may fail)
Note: Oddly enough, Shogum can block attacks despite not having a shield, but this can be explained because of a second sword he wields.
