The silk robe is a recurring robe in the DQSeries which first appears in Dragon Quest IV. It is a low level robe typically designed for female characters and/or spellcasters. In later games, the robe gives a small boost to the wearer's spellcasting attributes.

The silk robe has a Defence bonus of +20 and can be equipped by any vocation as long as they are female. It can be purchased for 1,500 Gold Coins at Isis and sold for 1,125. One can be found in the Isis Castle in a chest behind a door that can be opened with the Magic Key. The robe only appears in the remakes.
