The steel fangs are a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. It is designed for use by monster companions or beast-like characters.

Appearances

Dragon Quest V

The steel fangs have an attack bonus of +35. Saber can equip it. Among other recruitable monsters, Bad Apple, Bomboulder, Goodybag, Hades' helm, Rotten apple, Slime, Man o' war, Cureslime, Healslime, King slime, King cureslime, Metal slime, Liquid metal slime, Jailcat and Small fry can equip it too. Sold for 2000 gold at Coburg and Zoomingale.

Dragon Quest VI

The steel fangs have an attack bonus of +35 and a style bonus of +8. Only slime allies can equip them. They can be bought for 2,000 gold in Sorceria, Scrimsley, Mt Snowhere, and Turnscote. They can also be sold for 1,500 gold. Flythons, Diethons, and Eveels drop them 1/128 of the time, while Drackals and Helldorados drop them 1/64 of the time.

Dragon Quest VII

The steel fangs have an attack bonus of +35 and a style bonus of +8. They can only be equipped by Ruff. They can be purchased at the Alltrades Arena in the past, Alltrades Abbey, Al-Balad, Gröndal, and El Ciclo for 4,200 gold and sold for 2,100.
