The terror troll is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in the SFC remake of Dragon Quest III.

Characteristics

The strongest of trollkind, these brutes actually used to brush up on their reading long ago in an attempt to sharpen their minds. Their skin is a darker shade of green than boss trolls and they wear moss green-coloured garbs to distinguish them from the rest of their kin. In addition to being able to land devastating blows with their spiked clubs, these trolls can sometimes even further amplify their considerable attack power or that of another monster with magic.

Dragon Quest X

Terror trolls began appearing in Version 5.2, being much stronger than the rest of its kin. They will still waste their turns by licking their weapons or missing completely and can land Desperate attacks, along with regained their ability to boost attack with Oomphle. These trolls can also perform a Shove in an attempt to knock characters out of battle.
