The cave is the largest dungeon in the game thus far, and like real life caverns is the result of continuous water runoff, which has pooled in the basement floor and given the dungeon its namesake. A [[priest]] wander the cavern and explains that the site was chosen as a trial by the [[Goddess]], which is why the [[Healing Spring]] is present in such a dangerous place.

The unnamed man and the daughter of the [[Queen of Faeries]] fled to the final floor of the dungeon and threw themselves into the lake, with the faerie stating in a suicide note that if their love would result in strife between their peoples then they would be together in the after life.
