The Very devil is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Dark devilish demons that weave their wave through battle on wicked tiny wings, with which they've been known to terrorize entire towns. They can cast they crushing Crackle spell to sling ice damage at all enemies, along with focusing their fiery laser to deal massive damage to a single foe. They're equipped for long hard battles with the ability to heal themselves and others with the mighty Midheal. As of XI, the imps have also added earth magic to collection of spells.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest VII[edit | edit source]
There are two scripted encounters with Very devils when the party is stranded in Emberdale after the islands have been sealed away again. One battle is with a pair of Very devils and another with a Very devil, a Mandrake major, and a Monarchaeopteryx. They can be easily defeated with group-targeting attacks such as Multifists.
