The Vladiator is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest III. It is the strongest of the three vampire types in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation, haunting the northern steppes of Mur.

Etymology

As with the other two vampires, the Vladiator is named after Vlad Tepes III, also known as Vlad the Impaler. The Japanese name, Barnabus, is a reference to the character in the vampire soap opera Dark Shadows.
