Wing-Clipper is a recurring ability in the series. It deals 25% more damage to enemies of the Bird family and assorted "floating" enemies, making it slightly inferior to Flying Knee

Dragon Quest VII
In the PS1 version, BirdSlash is a hybrid skill that is learned by reaching rank 5 as a Mariner or Warrior immediately after completing the other. In the 3DS version, Wing-Clipper is no longer a hybrid skill and is instead learned by advancing to rank 6 of the Warrior vocation. The following is an incomplete list of affected enemies:
