==Sleeping Curse==

At the start of ''Dragon Quest III'', the village is under a sleeping spell cast by the [[Super Secret Faerie Village|hidden village]] located in the western forest.  All the residents are asleep except for a single old man who explains to the [[Erdrick|hero]] the cause of the village's condition.  The curse is lifted by returning the [[Dreamstone]] from the [[Underground Lake]] to the elves.
