The Mousenap (formerly FairyRat) is a semi-recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.

Description

The mousenap is a monstrous amalgamation of a rancid rat's head and upper body and a wicked wasp's lower body, complete with a potent pokey stinger than sends enemies straight to sleep, leaving them vulnerable and out of action in battle. The rat portion of its body has a thick purple tangled fur, floating in the air with two pairs of wings that look like massive mousey ears. Despite the oddly insectiod traits, it is still classed as a member of the Beast family.
