The Bludgerigar, formerly known as Picky and Chirpy, is a recurrent monster in the Dragon Quest series and it was introduced in Dragon Quest V.

Characteristics

Bludgerigars are little bird-like monsters based on parrots, however they are bigger than real-life parrots. Their body is covered with yellow feathers from the head to the point of their tails, although behind their head their is an area where the feathers are green and more fluffly; also, surrounding their pink eyes there are little fuchsia feathers, the same type of feather that the spiky crest of their forehead is made of. The only parts free from feathers are the beak, the area that surrounds the nose (that is made from blue skin) and their legs.
