Mary Lou (Primrose originally) is a minor character in Dragon Quest IV. Hank Hoffman, Jr.'s cartmare, she pulls the party's wagon. The novelization of IV states that she is the transformed state of Sparkie, who was banished to the surface by Zenith Dragon, but in the remake, Hank claims to have raised her since she was a pony.
