The meowgician (originally CatMage) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest VII, it is an anthropomorphic cat with mage-like qualities.

Characteristics

The meowgician is a bipedal cat monster wearing an orange robe with the ability to cast magic, and is often among the first monsters that the player encounters that can cast magic. It carries a carved wooden staff and wears a necklace with a bell. It usually knows Frizz (Blaze).
