The Boogieing buttress is a monster that appears exclusively in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VII. It is a variant of the Prancing pillar whose body is composed of blue marble and decorated with gold.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
These anthropomorphic buttresses have the appearance of Ionic columns seen throughout ancient Greece holding a pair of fiery sconces that they use to burn foes. They use these flames to cast Frizzle and can reduce the MP of opponents with their unusual dance moves. Underneath their capital, they have a pair of solid yellow eyes and a small frowning mouth. Despite their stony appearance, the buttresses have flexible bodies and contort themselves like snakes.
