The Death mask (じゃしんのめん jyashin no men; originally Masque of the Evil God or Mask of corruption) appeared exclusively in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
Location
The mask is found in Cascade Cave. In the remakes, another can be found in the Template:Bonus Dungeon, Fungeon
Effect
The Death mask has a Defence bonus of +200 and can be equipped by anyone except for the 9th Chosen One....but it is Cursed. The side effect results in confusion.
It can be sold for 6 gold coins.
