For the monster vocation in Dragon Quest VII, see Dingbat (Vocation).

The Dingbat (formerly SkyDevil) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, introduced in Dragon Quest VII.

Characteristics

Dingbats are monstrous muscular, angry anthropomorphic bipedal raging red eagles with a large pair of bat-like wings on its beastly back and long, curved horns on its head. They have beige-colored wrists and undersides, yellow, steel sharp, beaks for bashing at prey and a beautiful long blue mane of hair, with wicked black webbed wings to allow them to hover high above the battlefield. Their claws and talons have three incredibly sharp digits, perfect for diving down at foes in a flurry of feathers with their Harvest Moon attack. Dingbats are incredibly agile fighters, soaring into the air to attack enemies and kicking with their talons, but they also boast a fiery spell in battle, Fizzle, allowing them to sling a fire ball right at any attackers. Despite being birds, they do not take extra damage from Wing-Clipper or Flying Knee.
