The Double-edged sword (Originally Multi-edge sword) is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise.

Appearances

Dragon Quest III

The double-edged sword has an attack bonus of +100....but it is cursed, and damages the user during an attack. Found in a chest in Charlock Castle.

Dragon Quest IV

The double-edged sword has an attack bonus of +99....but it is cursed, and damages the user during an attack. Found in a chest in Endor's secret armour store.

Dragon Quest V

The double-edged sword has an attack bonus of +99....but it is cursed, and damages the user during an attack. Nevertheless, it is found in Mt. Zugzwang on the mountain ridge.

Dragon Quest VIII

The double-edged sword has an attack bonus of +76....but it is cursed, and damages the user during an attack. It can be upgraded into an Über double-edge with a couple of Saint's ashes or be sold for 2,500. The sword can be found in Princess Minnie's Castle.
