The Live Spectacle Tour played 40 shows in 5 cities across Japan from July 22 to August 31, 2016. The show mainly followed the story of {{DQ3}}, but took a hint from the ''[[Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below|Heroes]]'' series of games by having characters from other ''Dragon Quest'' games appear alongside ''III'''s {{Hero 3}}. The villain was [[Zoma]].

Most of the characters received redesigns with more detail than ever before, and several promotional material and merchandise using new illustrations based on the show's more intrincate costume design were produced.
