A fat rat is an enemy encountered in Dragon Quest II and Dragon Quest V. While almost identical to the Ratscal, the fat rat has more blue in its coat.
Characteristics
Freaky chubby creatures, the fat rats purely prey on weak adventurers, as they lack the strength to challenge seasoned pros, instead partnering up with stronger monsters, biting and clawing in the chaos. Their opportunism is sometimes mistaken for cowardice, as they'll smartly flee from battle at the first real sign of danger.
