Galen is a non-player character in Dragon Quest III. He is the boyfriend of Tania and lives in the village of Baharata.
Kidnapping
Galen stays in Baharata after Tania is kidnapped by Kandar. However, when the heroes hear the story of Tania's kidnapping from her grandfather, Galen volunteers himself to go and save her. He is subsequently captured by Kandar's men as well. Both Galen and Tania are freed after the heroes defeat Kandar for a second time in the Cave East of Baharata.
Pepper
After being rescued, Galen gives the heroes some Pepper free of charge at the shop in Baharata. This is the only location to receive pepper in the game and is required in order to receive the ship.
