The Garbgoyle is a monster based on the unnamed demon that fought against Ortega over the volcanic crater of Mt. Necrogond in the opening cutscene of the SFC remake of Dragon Quest III. It has since be given it's own name and personality in the HD-2D remake, promoting it to boss status and chief of Baramos' minions.
