The Ghoul is a recurring Undead monster in the Dragon Quest series, introduced in Dragon Quest II.
It has a stronger attack and more HP than a Walking corpse, and is able to call for back up if the player is not swift in dispatching it.
Characteristics
Ghouls have rotten blue-grey skin, an unkempt mass of grey hair, and they wear dull red and green rotting clothes. In their original appearance, they were the strongest variety of the walking dead and even gained the ability to cast simple fire magic against their foes. Later appearances in the series gave them the ability to call upon more of their kind from beyond the grave to aid them in battle, as well as being able to Poison with both their claws and venomous exhalations.
