The Giant Mallet is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. Regarding monsters, it is the preferred weapon of hammerhoods and brownies and the two species are always shown carrying them into battle.

The giant mallet has an attack bonus of +10. Sold in Roundbeck for 220 gold.

Dragon Quest VI

Increases attack by +10 and decreases style by -5. Amos, Carver, and Lizzie can equip it, and it can be purchased in the lower world's Somnia for 220.

Dragon Quest VII

Increases attack by +14 and decreases style by -5. Only Kiefer and Aishe can equip it, and it is sold for 410 .

Dragon Quest VIII

The giant mallet has an attack bonus of +13, and is sold in Farebury for 240.
