The Giant moth is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VI. As its name states, it is a lepidopteran that has grown to monstrous proportions.

Characteristics

Among the most literally named monsters to date, it is an overgrown moth roughly the size of a man's torso that ditched its pathetic proboscis for a set of terrifying teeth. The compound eyes have been exchanged for pupils as well, set inside purple sclera. It is capable of flapping its wings at high speed to create razor-sharp winds to slice enemies.
