The Goobonce, also known as the Ice-breaker, is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest V. It is an unusual, alien-like monster that forms a duo with the Bloodbonnet.

Characteristics

Goobonces are squat pink bipedal demons with bizarre features. Their most notable features are the stalk-like protrusions from their shoulders that each have an extra eye. They have small round blue heads which give them their name, a tiny pair of yellow eyes, and a mouth filled with sharp fangs. On their hands and feet, they have a set of two sharp black claws and talons, which they utilize in vicious slashing attacks. The goobonce almost always appears alongside the bloodbonnet, which has the opposite coloration as them.
