The Gum shield is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VI. It is a squat goblin-like creature with yellow skin that wields a shield and sword into battle.

Characteristics

These golden goons giggle from behind their gleaming shields, defending from damage deftly, only stepping out to stab and slash with their sharpened swords. They have a chance to drop the shields they carry after battle.
