Egg On is a skill in Dragon Quest IX that increases the tension of a target party member by one level. Taught to the Hero by Patty from Stornway after you unlock the Quester's Rest as way of thanks for helping her out in The Hexagon earlier.
Some enemies (such as Sluggers) can also this to bolster their allies.
