The hapless helm (previously unlucky helmet or Helmet of Unhappiness) is headgear from Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.
The helmet is cursed, reducing Luck to 0, but provides Defense of +35. They are occasionally dropped by Minidemons and one can be found in Baramos' Lair.
