The '''Haunted Housekeeper''' is the first boss in ''[[Dragon Quest V]]''. He is the ringleader behind the hauntings at [[Uptaten Towers]]. When first confronted, he drops [[Hero (Dragon Quest V)|the hero]] and [[Bianca]] down a trap door where they are to be prepared as a feast. Unfortunately for him, they manage to fight off the undead and face him at the balcony.

The Housekeeper can be tough at lower levels due to his fire magic physical attacks. Getting upgraded equipment in [[Roundbeck]] is recommended. If Bianca is at least level 7, she can cast [[Kasap]] to make him more vulnerable to melee attacks. Once he is defeated, he will surrender and confess that he and the ghosts were outcasts from [[Nadiria]] and were simply looking for a home.
