File:Ramia.gif Lamia is the name of the legendary bird in Dragon Quest III. Lamia allows the hero and his party to travel through the air. This was the first occurence of this mode of travel in the Dragon Quest series. While traveling through the air, there are no random monster encounters.

Hatching Lamia
