In the Dragon Quest III remakes, princess is a female-only personality that improves wisdom and luck growth, but reduces agility and resilience growth.
The hero cannot become a princess at the start of the game.
Other female party members have a chance to be a princess when recruited as any class except merchant or thief, depending on their stat bonuses.
