Mr. Briscoletti is first seen during the Prologue as [[Pankraz]] and [[Hero (Dragon Quest V)|his son]] are disembarking at [[Littlehaven]]. He briefly introduces his daughter Nera to the two, but was unable to introduce his other daughter as she scurried off to the cabin. He is not seen again until after the first timeskip, when the Hero learns that he is in possession of the [[Zenithian shield]]. He is only willing to part with it to a man that marries his daughter Nera, and to that end, tasks all potential suitors with retrieving both the [[Circle of Fire]] and the [[Circle of Water]] to prove their worth.

In the third generation, when the hero and his twin children arrive in Mostroferrato, they discover Rodrigo is in a panic. He explains the his ancestor Rudolph sealed away a demon in a nearby shrine over a century ago, and it is about to emerge. Atop the lookout tower [[La Guardia]], they see the demon, [[Bjørn the Behemoose]], emerge and approaches the town. While he runs off to prepare for battle, the Hero and party manage to defeat the demon before it can cause any damage.

The [[Hero (Dragon Quest XI)|Luminary]] can visit the Briscoletti mansion on the eve of the wedding via the [[Echo Chamber]] in the Nintendo Switch version of the game. He will find that all three brides in the mansion has been turned into a copy of Rodrigo. Because the hero of the game is away at the moment, the wedding has not fallen to disaster but the source of the dopplegangers must be dealt with.

Rodrigo explains that a monster his great-grandfather Rodolfo sealed away must have gotten loose, and asks the party to slay the monster and undo the curse it must have placed on the household. The maid explains that she heard the creature wants to reinvent itself, which is the tip that it's sulked off to [[Alltrades Abbey (Dragon Quest VI)|Alltrades Abbey]].

Once this is dealt with, the potential brides return to normal, and Rodrigo rewards the Luminary with a bar of gold. Additionally, the player and have their own wedding rehearsal with the cast each time the visit henceforth.
