Roundaclout is a recurring enemy-only skill in the Dragon Quest series. The monster spins themself rapidly, then strikes a group of enemies after building up momentum with its body or any weapons it is wielding.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest VIII[edit | edit source]

Roundaclout is used by Redtail hipsters, Swingin' hipsters, Riptides, and Claws. It deals non-elemental damage to the entire party that can only be reduced by defending. The damage is based on the user's level, with the hipsters using a weaker variation calculated as (Lv x 2 + 10) as the average value, and the claw-wielders having a stronger variation with a calculation of (Lv x x2 + 20).

Monster Damage range
Swingin' hipster 30~37
Redtail hipster 48~59
Riptide 46~57
Claws 77~94

Salsa is the only Infamous Monster with access to it.

Dragon Quest IX[edit | edit source]

Roundaclout can be used once again by Riptides and Claws.

Monster Damage range
Riptide 18~21
Claws 21~26

Dragon Quest X[edit | edit source]

Roundaclout can be used by Wyrtles. It deals 120% damage to any characters in the surrounding area.

Dragon Quest XI[edit | edit source]

Roundaclout can be used by both Brollygarches and Brollympians. In this game, it deals wind-elemental damage to the entire party and has a chance to knock them down, as well. When used, the in-game text states that the user "unleashes a savage spinning attack!".
