The Ruby of protection is an accessory that increases defence by 15.
Dragon Quest VII
Rubies of protection have a defence bonus of 10 and a style bonus of 5. They can be bought for 3,500 gold and sold for 1,750 gold. With the exception of Kiefer, all characters can equip them.
Dragon Quest VIII
The ruby of protection provides a defence boost of +15. City of Orkutsk's Weapon/Armor Store. The chest behind the counter.
