Her personal motto is to always keep the sun in your heart. Her ideal romantic partner would be someone like a hero from a romance novel. The thing she wants the most is a sequel to her favorite book, "A Ripple on the Sea of Love", which is about a romance between a human and a mermaid.

Serena has very keen senses and an ability to sense magic, as shown in a variety of cutscenes and lines of Party Talk dialogue. She often acknowledges tastes and scents that she catches, and Veronica mentions that Serena's sense of smell is particularly good. In many cutscenes, Serena will say that she "senses" magic, particularly dark magic and evil influences, as well as the powers of [[Yggdrasil]]. She also senses the presence of her sister in two cutscenes, in the rare circumstances when they are separated. Thanks to her keen senses, particularly when it comes to magic, Serena often picks up on details that the other characters miss.
